The vision that changed my life

I have had many profound visions, but this one is the reason I am here, typing this email to you now.

In 2020 I attended a retreat that would completely alter my life forever… I let so much go, had major realizations, and established a deep sense of love myself, for the first time. So many beautiful moments, but the one that surprised me most was this vision I had of myself:

I was walking alone in a desolate, dry, desert. The ground was gray and cracked and the sky was cloudy with dust. It was silent and solemn, with no end in sight - not a single shrub in the distance.

I suddenly felt a nudge to sing and as I began to do so, whimsical, bright-colored plants and flowers sprung up from beneath the dirt. They were other-worldly, oversized and surreal, almost like that of a Dr. Suess story. They towered over me in every direction and suddenly I found myself in an oasis.

The vision then zoomed out and suddenly I saw other people walking in their own gardens, sharing their own gifts of dance and music and healing! Their gardens were thriving as they shared themselves in the most beautifully authentic ways. Each flower was a direct result of those they had inspired along the way.

And then… I was plucked out…removed from the path.

Immediately, everything in my garden died.

And then it hit me…

‘By choosing to stay small,

I am choosing to neglect my community.’

It hit me like a pile of bricks…I realized in that moment that my gifts aren’t meant for ME, my gifts are meant for YOU (and others like you).

AND YOU HAVE GIFTS TO SHARE, TOO!

We all do, and each is equally important and impactful. Each one connects us to one another in unique ways - and often in ways we don’t ever know or understand!

We don’t often have the opportunity to hear how we’ve inspired others, just as we don’t often take the time to let those who inspire us, know. But it happens all the time, consciously and subconsciously!

So this is your friendly reminder, sign, nudge, WHATEVER YOU NEED, to start sharing yourself more. We need you.

And if you’re worried about what could go wrong, instead get curious about what could go OH SO RIGHT!
